What You Can Do

WATER FOOTPRINT
We consume water every day, much more than we think. We drink water, take showers, clean the dishes and do the laundry. On top of that, we use water to produce the food we eat and the clothes we wear. We use water in everything we buy, in the energy we use. Our water footprint tells us how much water is used to produce these goods. Hence, our individual water footprint depends on all these products we use and consume.
Did you know that 1000 liters of water is used to produce 1 pair of jeans? 250 liters of water is spent to produce 1 glass of milk, 400 liters to produce 2 eggs, and 1000 liters to produce 200 g of chicken meat.
Calculate your water footprint.
When buying something, make your preferences consciously, according to the amount of water used for its product.
Don't buy a product unless you need it.
Don't waste food.
